We offer two courses. Both curriculums were developed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Most insurance companies offer premium discounts and most factory sponsored clubs offer a partial reimbursement with the successful completion of either course.
The Basic RiderCourse is aimed at beginning riders or re-entry riders. Even if you’ve been riding for some time, you will gain something from the course.
You'll learn how to operate a motorcycle safely, with a lot of emphasis on the special skills and mental attitude necessary for dealing with traffic. This is a 2 day course consists of 5 hours classroom and 10 hours of practical riding in a controlled, off street environment. Motorcycles are furnished and are in the 250cc class. The minimum age to take the course is 15-1/2 years old.
A great benefit of completing a BRC is the state of Missouri will waive the riding portion of the motorcycle licensing test. However, you will still be required to take state’s written exam.
The Experienced RiderCourse is aimed at the seasoned rider who has completed a basic course and has at least a year of riding and 3000 miles under their belt. Using your own motorcycle on this one-day course of 5 to 6 hours, you'll put into practice the techniques of managing traction, stopping quickly, cornering and swerving.
